I never thought I'd say this, but I really miss Switzerland
There really is something to be said for Swiss efficiency. Things happened in an orderly and efficient manner and people actually showed up when they said they were going to after you had agreed upon a time with them.
We've been in our condo for a month and we're still not completely moved in. Why does it take a month to get the internet and tv hooked up? I don't really mind living without these things, but waiting around for them to be installed has left me housebound for two weeks straight. I want to go outside and do things but I can't leave the bloody condo in case someone calls and wants to deliver something RIGHT NOW.
Today I waited in the condo all day because we were supposed to have a bed delivered but they never showed up and I can't get through to the person whose contact information I have. I needed to go to the grocery store and I wanted to go swimming, but I couldn't do either for fear of missing the delivery people when they showed.
I am really missing Geneva at the moment. The only shiny upside to this entire craptastic day is that it's now sufficiently late enough in the evening that it's socially acceptable for me to open a bottle of wine and unwind.

Ah. Well quiet is always nice every now and again, but I can see how you'd miss the orderliness a lot.
If/when you are returning back to Geneva, you can come visit us in Turkmenistan before you move. That should at least make you feel like Geneva is an exciting metropolis for a few months before the boredom kicks in again :-)
You need to get a housekeeper to take care of those things for you!
(also, we waited for over 6 weeks to get our cable/internet/phone when we moved to our new apartment in France, and we had to pay for it!)
That's another thing on the list of things that are taking forever to accomplish. We are trying to find a recommended part time maid service but all the places I've contacted are either full in our area or won't call me back.
How annoying. Ask your friends to ask their housekeepers if they know anyone. That was the best way to find someone in Saigon, maybe it's the same in KL.
Of course you miss Switzerland, it so AMAZING here.
Kidding.
Though, it is very beautiful, especially Neuchatel.
