Were having our 30/40 party on Friday and we need a drink suggestion. I want to make a mixed drink - something I dont have to blend constantly and something that can be served over ice. Any suggestions? We have to make quite a bit, so I want to make sure I dont spend too much moola on something super fancy but I want something that tastes good.
Suggestions?!?
Re: Drink suggestions-
Maybe make a signature drink for each of you?
I'd do a Kelly Drink (this is my fave drink this summer):
Absolut Berry Acai (1 part)
Minute Maid Pomegranite Lemonade (3 parts)
Lemon Lime Soda (2 parts- I like Diet Sierra Mist)
and a Mark drink:
either a Lynchburg Lemonade
Jack Daniels (1 part)
Triple Sec (1 part)
Sour Mix (1 part)
Lemon Lime Soda (4 parts)
or a classic margarita
Tequila (1 part)
Triple Sec (1 part)
Orange Juice (1 part)
Sour Mix (2 parts)
Stand up for something you believe in.
I also really like a cocktail we came across via a flier on one of the vodka bottles-
Absolut Orient Apple vodka (1 part)
Cranberry juice (1 part)
Ginger ale (3 parts)
I cannot tell you why, but this tastes exactly like spiced cider.
Stand up for something you believe in.
If you want a drink that you don't have to make constantly why not do a punch? We have a standby one that we use at parties that is delicious!
1 thawed can of orange juice concentrate
1 thawed can of lemonade concentrate
a 2 liter of lemon lime soda (sprite, sierra mist, 7-up)
a fifth of Southern Comfort
and we usually add frozen orange/lemon slices or once we made a frozen ring of cranberry juice in a gelatin mold and let it melt into the punch.
You can mix it all together in a punch bowl or a beverage dispenser of your choice.
Just have people do shots of UV Cake.
I'm mostly kidding, but have you tried it? It's amazing. And it tastes good mixed with just about anything.
Thanks Ladies - i knew you would have some great ideas... I will try to take plenty of pictures of the party and the house finally and post them Monday.
Something with alcohol.
That is all.
