Re: IN Get Fit Challenge

  • I think I'm finally in the habit of reaching my goals!  I'm working out at least 3 times a week, definitely eating healthier (though this can always be improved), and I'm slowly losing weight!  Today was my longest run yet...2 miles!

QOTD:  A giant spoonful of peanut butter...chunky please!  YUMMY!

  • I've been swimming 3-4 times a week since we moved here.  It feels really good to be back in the pool.  I'm looking into joining a yoga class, but it's difficult because we're still in the process of moving in and there are a lot of days when I have to stay home because something is supposed to be delivered or installed.  Hopefully that changes very soon.

QOTD: I can't eat before working out.  If I have anything more than a piece of fruit a half hour before I get sick to my stomach.  I really enjoy a banana and peanut butter afterwards though.

Bananas and peanut butter...that is such an awesome combination.  I love peanut butter and banana sandwiches.

  • Great job ladies! Yay for forming healthy habits!

Onesly can you change my goal to working out 3x per week by Christmas. I lost the 8 pounds that I have in my current goal from clean eating but my body still feels wiggly-jiggly after my pregnancy. I really need to be physically active on a regular basis again.

The plan is to just maintain for the next 9 days before we go to the US. Try on my bridesmaids dress the first day I'm there and then just gain no more than 5lbs while in the States (which will be hard because I plan on indulging!) haha.

  • And QOTD: I cannot bring myself to eat 2 hours before or 1 hour after I exercise, unless it's a protein bar or shake (after) because otherwise I feel extremely nauseated.

PB and apple or banana is an awesome post-workout (an hr later, haha) treat.

  • I have been doing really well lately.  I would like to lose about five pounds and get a bit more tone.

I've started taking classes at the gym.  Right now I am loving Body Balance which is a combo of yoga, tai chi and pilates.  I have been trying to go to that class at least twice per week with zumba and another high impact class as my other class.

I feel more fit and back on track as I didn't do much with company here and travelling in June and July!

  • Onesly, can you change my goal to get down to 140 lbs by October 1?  I've reached the size 6 goal and now I just want to lose those last 4 pounds.  I'm really worried that with the rehearsal dinner and bachelorette party the alcohol may cause me to bloat a bit, so I want to build in a few buffer pounds just in case and figure that I may as well do it now while it's easier because there isn't much to do or as much temptation as there will be in Italy and Geneva.

Publius - I haven't been seeing your posts lately.  I keep seeing people quote you, but I don't see you say anything - even when you supposedly started the post.

QOTD:  Clean Eating (ish) Cinnamon Chocolate Chip Protein Bars: http://www.thegraciouspantry.com/clean-eating-cinnamon-chocolate-chip-protein-bars/

Or just a full meal and then wait 30 minutes.  If I exercise on an empty stomach (which means no food in the last 1.5 hours) I get faint.  After I exercise I'm not hungry at all for hours.

  • I've been working out almost daily and eating smaller portions. I feel lighter and some clothes are getting looser in my waist.

QOTW: I just eat a piece of fruit.

  • I forced myself to move more quickly up the days with the c25k this time and it's been painful and tough.  But I have to run a 5k in a few weeks so I have no time.  I am not a good runner and have never loved it, but it does get and keep me in shape/help me lose weight, so I'm doing it despite my hatred of it.  I shall start the 30DS again after my 5k because it and running were not working well together.

QOTD: nothing specific...usually something small.  I prefer a snack with lots of protein for after.

I like pineapples...they make life just so much more interesting.
