Went to triage monday.. XP

I am sure some of you ladies have seen my post about how painful and swollen my legs have been to the point I can't even walk around grocery stores. Monday afternoon I noticed my pain was getting progressively worse and I realized I could not feel my feet at all. I looked down and my legs were swollen like tree trunks along with my feet. I touched my feet and legs and it left indentions in them which made me worried because that has never happened before. I had also had a headache all day and I had started to see spots. I decided to call my OB and describe what was going on and they told me to immediately go to triage.

They took me back pretty fast and hooked me up to an IV because I was dehydrated and took my blood pressure which was high 155/92 and it kept going up and down a lot the whole time I was there. They ended up hooking me up to a pulse monitor because my heartrate was really high. I also ended up being sent to the ultrasound department to check for blood clots in my legs which was the most painful thing EVER. They made me do a second urine catch which had +1 protein in it. After laying in triage for almost 6 hours, they decided to send me home to do a 24 hour urine catch to make sure I'm not spilling too much protein. My midwife was supposed to come see me but she never did so I was seen by triage nurses the whole time. I am supposed to see her at the office tomorrow at 330 and I turned in my 24 hour urine catch to the lab and as soon as I handed it to the lady her eyes got huge and asked "Is that seriously all you have urinated in 24 hours?!" so of course that immediately made me feel nervous. I am supposed to get a call from the hospital if the results are not good so heres hoping that everything was okay and that I won't have to be put on bedrest. The LO is doing good and she has a very strong heartbeat. I am just happy she is okay and that hopefully everything continues to be okay.

  • Okay, I am so glad that your post was nothing extremely serious (I was SO scared to open it), although I wish it was nothing at all! I am praying that everything gets back to normal for you and the LO. Glad she is doing great, but you need to get better, too. When you said bed rest I was like, that is going to suck for the four+ months she has left..then I realized you are down to 60 days! That went really fast! Keep downing the water and take care of yourself!!!
