Re: WTF Wednesday (8/10)
Just read a friend's FB status. He woke up in the middle of the night last night to his wife screaming. There was a bat flying around their bedroom. They live in an apartment, in Forest Hills. It must have gotten in through an air conditioning duct. A couple of weeks a ago a raccoon was sitting outside of his apartment building and hissed at him as he tried to go inside.
They live right off of Queens Blvd at 76th Ave. Seriously, not a remote area.
WTF Mother Nature?!?!?!?!?!
I've seen raccoons around here on several occasions. Bats are good, but I would be just as freaked out if one was flying around my bedroom. I am sure the screaming helped the situation.
She has a pretty nasty phobia of animals with wings. I saw her at a nature party for the kids and they let a dove fly around and I thought she was going to pass out from fear. I'm sure waking up to a flapping bat must have freaked her out quite thoroughly.
I've seen the raccoons, too. But a bat in an apartment is pushing the limits! What is this, a Fox when animals attack URBAN special?
My sister made a comment about me being my nephew's favorite aunt. Dad's wife: "his only aunt--so far..." Shutthefuckup. My family, WTF.
Dear sister, if you read this: Yes, your mother drives me crazy 95% of the time. I still love you regardless. You are my favorite sister, even when you're my one and only.
