netflix users - what are you doing?

with the switch coming up on september 1, they are taking away the single disc/instant play combo for the current price. its now double the cost for both or same price for one

we do have cable and get a lot of movies through our premium package and on demand. dh loves the instant play stuff.

  • we have never done the discs, always done instant play.
  • this annoys me to no end. i'm actually thinking of canceling.

netflix's stock has tanked b/c of this change. i hope they reconsider.

  • We went to the streaming only.  We're more likely to sit down and watch an episode of something we haven't seen than a movie.  For movies, I'll just do Redbox.

  • We are canceling the streaming, we prefer the blu-rays.
  • We already canceled the streaming.  There are a ton of movies I've wanted to see over the years and never got the chance, and they're all DVD only.

This is what we are thinking about doing.  There are a handful of movies that we want to see that are disc only, so we may keep one disc for a couple of months.

I was doing 2 discs and unlimited streaming for $18, and I dropped to 1 and unlimited.

I love the streaming, but they don't have enough new movies on there, so it's frustrating sometimes.

This is what we did. We don't have cable so I use the streaming if I need to turn something on to distract K for a little bit.

  • We cancelled. We didn't really use it enough to justify the cost before.
