Help a CO Nestie - Things to Do??

I'm going to be in Atlanta staying at the Omni CNN Center in Sept. and I'm wondering if there are a lot of restaurants and bars around the hotel/area?  I'm looking on trip advisor, but can't get a good sense of what is around there.  TIA!!!

  • STATS Bar is very close. I like that bar as it has a lot of space and areas to hang out along with outdoor areas to sit down - Sept should not be so hot too.

For food: There's McCormick & Schmicks in CNN center, a Ted's is nearby, a Legal Seafood, the SunDial at the top of the Westin Hotel (it rotatoes to see the entire city - very cool!), etc etc

I use Opentable to book a lot of my reservations. Just search ATL and choose "downtown". A lot of the options shown are walkable to CNN Center.

    HTH!

  • And have drinks at the top of the Glenn Hotel. It is one block East (toward Peachtree) of Phillips Arena on Marietta St.

And if you want some southern food, try Sweet Georgia's Juke Joint. Its also walking distance and right on Peachtree. Gladys & Ron's Chicken & Waffles is not walking distance but its not far and its good!
