**osumelissa**-- work location?

I noticed in a post below that you get off at the Smithsoinan stop... do you work nearby?  I'm at USDA, so we should plan a lunch or HH GTG sometime!  (If you say you are at DOE, I'll be totally jealous-- I leave our building to eat there b/c our cafeteria sucks!)

Re: **osumelissa**-- work location?

  • I work at ICE which is on the corner of 12th and D, down toward the Mandarin Oriental. I have heard great things about the DOE cafeteria...so sad I don't work there because the ICE cafeteria is just meh. I mean we only just got a salad bar and it doesn't even have the same items everyday to make a proper salad! But I digress :)

If you ever want to meet for post-work drinks at the Mandarin, let me know! Escaping for lunch is almost an impossibility most days for me.

  • Post work drinks sound fun!  I'm sure there are a few other sad souls that work in the wasteland that we call, oh, wait, what is the area called?  I
  • I call it "no man's land" because it's such a hard area to describe and aside from gov't buildings, there isn't much in the area. I always have to tell people my building is a block from the Mandarin and then they know the area of town I am talking about.
