Moms of 2...

Do you feel content w 2 kids?  Whats your thoughts on a 3rd? I think with working full time more then 2 could be quite a challenge.  I think we are good with 2 until I look at baby pictures then I remember how precious they are as babies! Awww...

Re: Moms of 2...

  • I am perfectly fine with two. If I have another I just might have to be committed. :)
  • I do want to have a 3rd, but it won't be for 2-3 years depending on job situations. DH is being laid off next month and we're planning to move so things are a little unceratain for us! I'm not unhappy with 2 though so if we ended up not having a 3rd I'd be ok.
  • Even though I have 4, I feel sometimes like I have two sets of two since the age difference is so big. (2 & 4 and 12 & 14).  HaHa. I saw a lady the other day with 4 smaller children and I wonder how she did it. :) Four kids definitely keeps me busy, never a dull day in my house.

  • I would say I'm happy with 2, but I really would like to have another one in a couple of years.  I know it will be crazy, especially with me working, but I think will be nice when they are older.

I'm content with 1!  hahah.  Actually, I think about having another and DH wants another, but I am afraid with what happened last time.  I know I need to do something soon though (I'm 34 and counting! lol).  Then, A is such a handfull right now, I don't know if I could handle another one lol.

My SIL had the same problem as you (you had pre-e, right?)...my niece was a micro premie at 1 lb. 14 oz and totally fine now at 13 (and refers to herself as an alien baby when she was in her first yearr) and my SIL had zero problems with my second niece, who was basically a butterball compared to her older sister.

I am perfectly content with one and soon we'll be taking steps to make that permanent.

Brandi ~ yes, that is what I had.  I've heard stories like your SIL and that makes me feel better about it, but I know my luck.  lol.  We will see :-)

I just want to add that I spoke with my OB when I first found out I was pregnant with Harry to see what my likelihood of having complications with blood pressure would be, and she said that a lot of the time your body reacts faster to the change and fluctuations in hormones in subsequent pregnancies, and that you can have a much lower chance of having trouble with elevated BPs and risk of Pre-e. I had elevated blood pressures and on watch for Pre-e with Monk and have yet to have a single elevated pressure during this pregnancy. ((knock on wood))

  • I have 3 and plan to have at least one more after I get married. I loooooove babies!
  • There's times I wonder if I'd be able to handle one!  We still don't have kids and strangely I'm not worried about it too much - yet I feel like I should be since we are both 37.
  • Sometimes. If DH said 2 is enough I would totally be okay being done. BUT he wants 1 more so we will have 1 more but it will have to wait until our house is closer to being done.
