ANOTHER sewing machine issue.
I have no clue what the deal is.
When I go to sew, the thread jumbles up and jams up the machine. I've checked the thread (once I finally get the fabric and extra thread out) and everything seems fine. I don't get it.
Has this ever happened to you? I'm about to cave and just sew this whole thing by hand.

Are you holding your thread tails? I don't know about your machine, but, most of the really entry level machines aren't going to have auto-start, so you need to hold the tails to get going, so they don't get sucked back down under the feed dogs/tangle.
Or, it could still be a bobbin issue- or a threading issue.
I've been sewing all week and haven't had an issue with having to hold the thread tails, but I'll try that and see if it'll change anything. I've check the bobbin and even re-threaded it in the machine and everything seems fine.

Did you rethread the top thread?
I know it sounds simple but sometimes you can miss a hook and not see it because it is inside the machine head. This is my problem 9 times out of ten when that happens.

MommaK.not, you're a genius. This was my problem. I feel dumb. Thank you!!

This happened to my old machine way too often. So much so that I would feel the urge to "Office Space" my machine.

Sure ya were
but I'm the genius!
I can't tell you how many times I get so frustrated until I remember to "try the simple thing"; like it's right in front of my face and I can't see it.
