Thanks for everything! Sorry the riots sucked all the fun out of the trip, but we'll have to get together again. Hopefully the next time I'm in London, it'll be a better time for everyone.
Your girls are gorgeous!
Re: Tofu is awesome
Yes! We thought about coming to see you, Pineapples. But then the idiots started up again and it got pretty bad.
I think I have a girl crush on Tofu.
Don't we all?
We do. We really do.
Oh, you girls are so sweet! The thing is though, I wasn't hilarious at all during Banana's visit - I was more or less convinced the world was ending, to be honest.
I will say though that Bananas made us some wheat thins and we have been rationing them since her trip. She left us the recipe, but should realize by now what with the delivered pizza on Monday night and the Chinese food on Tuesday night that giving us any sort of recipe is futile, as when she gave it to us we both looked it over to find the phone number for delivery.
Bananas, you are welcome any time - although I would be shocked if you wanted to come back. Honestly, you got here and we had riots, very little alcohol to cope with said riots and forgot to turn on the hot tub, as well as had you as a guest at the crappiest birthday in the world.
We tried to go to the twins' friends house, but were turned away by police on our way through Ealing and trying to get away from my office where things were again kicking off outside.
We then contemplated taking the girls out for dinner, but our local restaurants were boarded up and/or on fire.
We thought about making them a birthday cake - but the local shop selling cake mix was also boarded up, though not yet on fire.
So we made them some blue birthday jello, sang happy birthday and called it a night. Poor kids.
Maybe next year we'll plan them a birthday party in Afghanistan.
Chronically hilarious - you'll split your stitches!
I wrote a book! Bucket list CHECK!

Under the circumstances it was still a good visit. TBH, I think I may do something similar for D's birthday next year. Those remote control cars can provide hours of entertainment, and the blue jello was delicious. I may need your recipe for dinner - it was delicious!
You should have said something - I would have gladly picked up a cake or something while I was out! It wasn't a big deal, I promise!
I forgot to mention that I have another appointment in three months, so we can try again then. I will bring down more wheat thins then (a bigger batch), and any other treats that you may like. Or I can provide a monthly shipment if you want.
It was just as good a time as if the hot tub were turned on and you had more alcohol. Bacardi breezer and comedy central is a great combo. Honestly, I think worrying about the riots was top priority, and everyone was too exhausted to do anything anyway.
The whole thing was topped off by Huar-Huar trying to hurl in the living room. The noises he was making were hilarious.
Ah, yes. I forgot about that. Right as you got on the phone, too. The furry bastard.
Chronically hilarious - you'll split your stitches!

Hahaha, just started cracking up laughing again. D looked at me like "WTF are you laughing at, woman?"
Sorry I wasn't a more entertaining guest - as I said before, I'm usually a quiet person. I'm also pretty socially awkward and never know quite what to say.
