Re: is it inevitable?

  • Not sure if it's inevitable, but it certainly is a huge possibility! At some point, 2 women are not going to get along. The hormones plus egos can equal drama and anxiety:( which sucks, I know. Was just discussing this with FI actually- how guys handle situations differently. I don't think the guy way is always better, but sometimes it's def easier and less dramatic, if that makes sense

  • I think it depends on where you work.  My job is mostly women and while we each do things that irritate and annoy each other, luckily there is no drama.  I think sometimes it only takes one person to cause drama in an entire department/workplace.

  • Yes. Girls are just plain drama any way you cut it.

  • The only male in my office is my boss and we all get along. There are days when personalities crash, but there's never any real "drama".

  • I worked with almost all girls for two and a half years with only one minor, short-lasting burst of drama.

Of course, we were all super non-confrontational and there were guys who worked in the same building constantly coming in and out of our office.

    Please pass the ice cream.
  • I've worked in a department of only men, and there was just as much drama. some people are dramatic, I really dont think its only unique to women.

Do you feed into it? If there is always drama around you and other people are changing, you might be contributing. I very rarely, if ever, find myself in the middle of drama.

THIS! Men can be just as bad as women. Backstabbing, manipulative, and ass kissing. It's not a gender thing, it's just a human thing.

  • It depends on where you work and how professional the setting is.  I used to work in a Home Depot and could not believe the drama there.  Now that I'm an RN, I work with mostly women at an urban hospital, and there is much less snarkiness.
