another Lingerie Question

I try not to stare so I haven't figured this out for myself.  I notice that a lot of people can wear tank tops / off the shoulder shirts and don't have bra straps showing.  It doesn't appear that they are NOT wearing a bra so I'm just wondering what it is that they are wearing.  I'd think that if they were wearing a strapless bra, you'd see the seams since a tank top is usually snug.  Do you know what they might be wearing?  I love the look of a tank top with an off the shoulder shirt on top but I don't want the seam of my strapless bra (which is also uncomfortable) or bra straps showing.  Any ideas?  My chest is tiny but I still need support of some sort. Thanks!

Re: another Lingerie Question

  • Could the tops have a built-in bra?  Usually I'll still wear a bra under the built-in shelf bra tops because it isn't enough support for me, but sometimes I won't.

The less likely possibility is clear straps.  One of my VS bras came with clear straps that I'll often wear with tank tops since the strap is less noticeable and usually doesn't show up at all in pictures.

  • Some tanks/camis have a "bra" inside of them. That is the only kind I buy to wear under shirts. Do you think that is what they are wearing?
  • How thin are the tank top straps? Maybe they are using a strap perfect?

I bought a 3 pack of these at Target about a year ago. Love them!

And as for the tops that are off the shoulder, aren't there bras that have a strap that can cross your body in front? So the strap would be above the left cup but extend right and go over the right shoulder? Or did I just create that in my mind?

  • Thanks for the ideas!!!  I will check that bra strap modifier out.
