Anyone making any crafty Christmas gifts this year they want to share? I want to do something different than my previous years of knitting/crocheting, wine trays, bath salts, etc.
I was thinking of getting a cricut but after reading some previous posts will definitely check into the silhouette. maybe I will have that in time for christmas!
Re: CHRISTMAS!!!
I'm planning on lounge pants and tees for the cousins. Home made body scrub and make up bags for my gal pals. possibly a rag quilt for the gmil. that's as far as I've gotten!
as for the silhouette, the sd is being discontinued. picked one up @ fotobella.com for ~$170 the new one, the Cameo comes out in october and it looks like retailers are just letting their inventory of sd's dwindle... no drastic price cuts =(
I don't know if you sew but I am making the large totebags in this link
http://butterick.mccall.com/b5581-products-13470.php?page_id=380
and matching jewelry rolls for the ladies on my list (i don't have a link for the pattern
because I made it up).
For the little nephews, capes and maybe rocket packs.
For my nieces, the older will get some sort of dress up and the youngest will get a doll maybe. I'm really indecisive about the youngest. She'll be a year.
I think moms will get clutches or purses.
Not sure about my sisters yet.
So much sewing left to do!!
I am not sure what I will have time for this Christmas with a 3 month old. In years past I made:
Cowboy Cookie Mix
Cookbooks
Notecards
Educational books
I think this year I might make some little notecards for people depending on time.
I know these aren't 'homemade' by you but they are hand made and I think they are beautiful. We have decided to give each couple a wedding candle using their own wedding colors.
www.hollandhousecandles.com.
Not too bad on the wallet either.
