Favorite Things Party
DH is OOT this weekend and I am thinking of getting some gals together for a Favorite Things Party. You bring 5 of one of your favorite items, no more than $5 each, and share with the girls.You put your name in a bag 5 times and draw names.
Do you think it's too late notice to try to get anyone together for this? Is this even something you would want to do, since buying 5 of your favorite things might get pricey?

i like the idea. i think two weeks notice would be best but if i was one of your good friends i'd probably go assuming i had no plans made.
are you providing food and wine? LOL
i think it's difficult to find items i love under 5 bucks though. im no help!

Yeah, I guess giving more notice would be helpful since they'll have to figure out what to bring.
Annie- I always feed my guests. lol and of course alcohol would be available.
You can get lots of things under 5-6 bucks, but I see where most people would have a hard time thinking of that. It took me a little while too. You could get Lip gloss (elf $1 each), lip balm (gap $3 each), nail polish , lotion, Luna Bars (my ultimate favorite $1 and change) and so on.

about your ideas-oh yeah ! i'd probably bring sticky notes. I use them for everything. i also like dr. pepper lipsmacker.

when i think about it like this, in a somewhat silly way on top of my real favorite things, i think I could do it in a pinch too. if your friends like to shop and you think they'd be into it, just go for it! maybe do 3 items not 5 since its last minute.
I love your idea! I love it so much I think I will use it for one of my own parties.
