Please recommend your mortgage broker - looking for someone dependable who won't screw us over like last time (long story). We are looking to buy in NoVA.

I used Andy MacTigue at First Savings when I bought our current house six years ago and when we refinanced last year. He was very responsive and willing to answer all of our questions and explain the process step-by-step. First Savings is in MD, but we're in VA and it wasn't an issue - they work with a company in VA for settlement (ours was in Fair Oaks).

The right lender makes all the difference (as you've experienced). Email me and I'll give you the contact info for my go-to guy. He's made my buyer transactions stress free because he gets it done on time (if not early), offers the best rates, and is extremely communicative. I've never had an issue with him, and I've been using him for about a year now.
