  • Have you done phase 2 of your kitchen remodel yet?

what's the best place you've ever visited?

  • PIP your favorite pair of shoes that are currently in your closet.

What's the sweetest thing DH has ever done for you?

  • What is your favorite room in your house?

What is your favorite piece of furniture in your house?

  • Phase two, which is a total gut, will take place in April.  As far as Phase One, I just got tired of the ugly cabinets so I pulled them off the wall one night when DH was out with his friends.  We thought this would be a good way to try out the open shelving system without it being permanent.  As far as the new kitchen, if you are interested - the shelving on the far right is where the fridge will be located.  Then, the window will be made just a little bit bigger - taller and wider.   Our vent will be where the shelving to the left is currently located and we are going to add another window to the left of the vent (so the two windows will kind of frame the vent area).  The sink will be moved to an island directly in front of the range.

As far as places...well, Paris is my favorite place. I know that is totally cheesy but it is a wildly romantic destination.

    Easy!  These:

I also recently purchased a really cute pair of Stuart Weitzman black slingback heels from Nordstrom Rack - they have this ridiculous bow on them and show the perfect amount of toe clevage - and they were $40 or retarded cheap like that.

As far as DH....gosh.  He does everything for me.  The stuff that easily comes to mind are kind of dumb, I guess - he gets out of bed 45 minutes before I do everyday to take care of the pets and he always does the dishes. I hate doing the dishes.  Further, because our kitchen is so old, it never feels clean to me which causes me to get really frustrated when I am "cleaning" it so he just takes care of that area of the house.

My favorite room is our dining room.  I have never had a separate dining room before and that was the room I was most excited about renovating.  There isn't anything overly special about it but I love eating in there.

My favorite piece of furniture is our dining room chairs.  They are lime green parsons chairs with white polka dot thingies. They were made in Paris and originally from Henry Bellmon's estate.  Even though some of them are stained with wine - I will never recover them - I love the history there.

  • Does it scare you having a pool and being unable to swim? Which Valentino boots are you buying? When are you getting your new ride--and you need to PIP!

As far as the swimming - it scares me that something could potentially happen to Dasher or SD and I wouldn't be able to save them.  I will only allow SD to get into the pool when DH is here OR I ask her to wear a life jacket and floaty thingies.  She is pretty cool about it though.  Dasher won't wear a life vest. I have tried.  The sweet thing is that Dasher totally gets that I can't swim so whenever I get into the water she jumps in and grabs onto my arm with her teeth until I get out.

I plan to buy the boots that are suede, over the knee, and they have little bows up the calf.  The top can be rolled down so they can be wore as over the knee or under the knee.  Its like two boots in one, don't you think?

Oh, I am so excited about the new ride.  We ordered it about a month and a half ago and it CAME IN TODAY!!!!  It is in Dallas though.  Snowful and I will be in Dallas this weekend but I really do not want to deal with it so DH and I are going to Dallas next weekend to pick her up. Him up?

  • Hmmm...

    1. Tell us all about the new job--good and bad!

    2. What's your favorite charity and why?

    3. What's your favorite OKC metro restaurant and why? (totally selfish reason for asking!) ?

    4. Who is your favorite OKC contractor and why? (again, totally selfish reason!)

    5. If you could only have one food for the rest of your life and it was a specific kind of pizza, what kind would it be?

P.S. I think we may be married to the same man----very patient, super kind, and puts up incredibly well with our sh!t until a certain point on which they fully call us out upon it? :)

    Hmmm...

    1. Tell us all about the new job--good and bad!    It is definitely a project!  The best thing about it is that everyone recognizes that changes need to be made and I fully have mgmt support.  The bad thing is that there were so many lousy-goosey things going on that when I step in to say "Um, no, we do things this way now" I get a LOT of pushback from those that don't "understand" and it is extremely stressful.  In my position, I have to do what is RIGHT and not what is popular and in the past, quite frankly, it has gotten me fired.  At the end of the day, all I have is my integrity.....one change at a time. I tell myself that each night before I go to bed.

    2. What's your favorite charity and why?  Right now I am volunteering to be a mentor for inner city schools and I am super excited about it. I worry that I won't have a connection with these kids, but it is important to me to discuss with them the importantance of higher education - not necessarily a four year college, but  vocational school.  A lot of parents NEVER discuss these things with their kids.

    3. What's your favorite OKC metro restaurant and why? (totally selfish reason for asking!) ?  Oh Gosh.  The husband and I really like The Ranch; however, Red Prime has a $40 per person price fix menu that just can't be beat.  As far as a more "normal" type restaurant - I am really digging Cool Greens.

    4. Who is your favorite OKC contractor and why? (again, totally selfish reason!)  I can send you his information - our contractor is the best.

    5. If you could only have one food for the rest of your life and it was a specific kind of pizza, what kind would it be?  taco pizza from Jo's!!!!

P.S. I think we may be married to the same man----very patient, super kind, and puts up incredibly well with our sh!t until a certain point on which they fully call us out upon it? :)  Yup - that is him.  Poor guys!

  • I'm totally jealous of your weekend girls trip, even though I'm taking a similar trip myself this weekend! Last time I met up with these same girls it was at Za.

What color is your new car?

Don't be too jealous. It is supposed to rain!  Worse of all, Snowful and I are both completely broke so its not like we can spend all day at the mall either. I mean, we CAN spend all day at the mall but two enablers + no money = bad situation.

My new car is black. I have never had a black car before.  I think he/she has black interior as well - CLOTH.  I no longer have covered parking and I am not a fan of leather interior searing my legs after a hard day at work.  I saw a silver one on the interstate this morning and about wrecked DH's car staring at it. I NEVER thought I would fall in love with a Hyundai.  Stick out tongue  I can't wait to meet him/her and I already have a playdate set up with a friend of a friend that has a new one too. Ha ha ha.
