vent - normal people dont' call at 6:30 am w/ random questions

OMG - FIL called at 6:30 this morning. He normally calls and jokes around and asks for DD, but this morning he called all breathless and introduced himself (uh, hi, I know who you are!) and I'm waiting for him to tell me that "And Great Aunt Edna had a heart attack" or even "our cat swallowed a penny" but no, he wants to know what the dosage is on some medication that DH takes (that he's now been prescribed too) - seriously??  Don't call that early unless there is something wrong.

  • Was he getting ready to take the medication and just wanted to confirm maybe? still seems weird clearly, but that could explain the hurry and the early call.

I would call my parents at 630 without hesitation but I would not call my brothers (especially the one with kids) - even if he wasn't working one day I would assume they try to stretch out their sleeping as much as possible.

no - he wants to argue w/ his doctor about the dosage.  DH, his sister and now dad all have hypothyroidism so he wants to call the doctor to tell him how much his kids take - but that's not how the decide how much to give, which DH already told him the day before, plus - its not like he's going to call the doctor at 6:30 anyway.  He's just OCD and probably couldn't sleep all night wondering how much DH took of the medication.

  • Yeah, that's way too early.  I would freak out to be awakened by a phone call and then pissed to find out it wasn't for something important.
