I'm a drunk
Varuna's post below inspired me to run in the kitchen and whip up a batch of chili that calls for about a half bottle of beer. So now I have a lonely remaining half bottle sitting on the counter. I took a few sips and it is so good, I really want the rest of it.
But, I have a dentist appointment this afternoon. If I burp or something while in there, they will smell the beer on my breath and check off alcoholic on my chart. In this very Baptist, very dry county, word would spread that I'm a drunk. But, it might be a risk that I am willing to take.
I just a friendly gal looking for options.

I will never say it's too early for a beer.
But, that's a good reason not to have one.
I also found a new recipe for chili that requires beer and chorizo sausage. I might be making that instead of my normal recipe.
One of our local breweries is doing a pumpkin beer right now that is to die for. It's incredibly sweet, yet full-bodied.
Their apricot beer is amazing, too. Wish I had time tonight to go over and have one... or ten.
