Who would I call?

If there is something wrong with H's pay? The finance office?

H's pay is a pending direct deposit, but it's about a thousand dollars less than it should be. I went onto mypay.com and the beginning of the month LES said the right amount, and the EOM LES is drastically wrong.

  • I can't find the number through google or the Naval Station Norfolk website.

    Huh?

Yes. I called that one, and she gave me a number for "disbursing" or something like that but no one picked up.

  • Ghostbusters!

No, seriously, why are you calling? Shouldn't your H just take his happy behind to finance or something?

    He's deploooooyed yo.

I sent him an email informing him of the situation, but I don't know if there's anything he can do from the boat.

He can take care of it there.

They set up finance offices in Iraq, so I'm willing to bet there's something on the boat.

Yup, they sure do. Otherwise what would the little sailors without wives do?

    Call their mommys? lol.

I am glad to hear he will be able to take care of this himself. Not sure why I got POA, I will never get the chance to use it!

  • I don't know what type of boat your H is on, but they will have at least one person who is capable of taking care of that. Navy ships and submarines are staffed so as to be relatively self-sufficient units.

Because the time you don't have it, you'll need it constantly. lol That's Murphy's law for you.

This is the absolute truth. H didn't get me a POA for this deployment because we didn't see the need. There shouldn't have been any reason for me to use it. Um.. I've had to use it a couple times now. Luckily he could email it to me so I could print it off. Last deployment when I had a POA before he left? Never used it.
