Re: Interview Me!

  • How did you decide on Charlotte's name? Did you two agree right away?
  • How did you decide on Charlotte's name? Did you two agree right away?

Well - Charlotte didnt have a name until the morning we were released from the hospital. We really thought she was a boy so we were set on Wade Thomas so when she came out and they said its a girl... we had a bit of panic. We were down to Margaret Jane (Maggie) or Charlotte Jane (Charlie) and Mark picked Charlotte.

I was leaning toward Margaret since that is my gma's name and picked Charlotte from the Sex and the City movies (not gonna lie) - I am glad we picked Charlotte... it fits her.

  • What is your natural hair color? (I remember you saying this before but I forget!)

What has been the biggest surprise about motherhood?

    Your favorite color to wear?

    Favorite season?

    Favorite holiday?

    Any anniversary plans?

  • What is your natural hair color? (I remember you saying this before but I forget!)

I am a blonde (dirty blonde) - funny when people see my hair blonde they hate it now. I have been red for almost 11 years now.

What has been the biggest surprise about motherhood?

how much your life changes and you dont even care. I dont get to go to happy hours and stuff but I could care less. I was worried about leaving her but I feel I appreciate my evenings with her so much more when I am home from work. My priorities have changed DRASTICALLY and in a good way.

    Your favorite color to wear?

I am bad about wearing Black too much, but I love bright colors (orange, blue and green)

    Favorite season?

fall - I am a huge football fan and I cant get enough of leaves, Halloween, cider, and wearing jeans and still being able to wear flip flops.

    Favorite holiday?

I think a tie between Christmas and Halloween. I LOVE dressing up for Halloween and pumpkin patches, but I love the family time we have during Christmas.

    Any anniversary plans?

A trip to Boston - but probably not until after the Anniversary. For that weekend we have a dinner planned at our favorite restaurant and a baby sitter for Charlotte. That is enough for us!

  • What's your favorite song right now?

    Favorite thing about Mark?

    Least favorite?

Favorite thing to do with Charlotte?

    Favorite midnight snack?

Would YOU eat a live octopus for $1,000?

  • What's your favorite song right now?I am loving Adele's Someone like you...

Favorite thing about Mark? He is a very hard worker. He does nothing half way. I am queen of 75 percent and he is a full 100 percent guy. Anything from Gardening, to Charlotte to his day job, he puts 100 percent in anything. I think its an admirable trait.

Least favorite? That same 100 percent doesnt always allow him to just relax. He is constantly doing something. We havent had one down time night in MONTHS. I am ready for a day without big plans to work on the house, in the house or go to the farm.

Favorite thing to do with Charlotte?Honestly just sit and watch her play. She has the urge to attempt to sit now (she likes being able to see everything) and she babbles all the time so I love sitting watching her do that. Its a great way to end a day at work. Besides just watching her, we go for a walk in the evenings now and I love it. Great time to wind down as well.

Favorite midnight snack?I have trouble with snacking these days due to diabetes and honestly my palate has changed since I had Charlotte. I lean more towards something clean like an apple or a frozen fruit bar - but I also love me some pickles olives and cheese.

Would YOU eat a live octopus for $1,000? I have eaten octopus dead... I dont think I could do it alive... I cant even eat farm animals if I have seen them alive.

  • What was for lunch?

    What's for dinner?

    What color is your toothbrush?

What's the best meal you've ever eaten?

If you could have any meal right now, what would it be?

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

What's on the radio/tv/ipod/whatever that's closest to you?

    Favorite guilty pleasure TV show?

  • What was for lunch? a place called Tom and Chee- grilled cheese and tomato soup place- I had an italian grilled cheese and tomato basil soup.

What's for dinner?  Mark gets home tonight and I am having lobster rolls for him... hopefully he enjoys them!

What color is your toothbrush? Blue- I have a oral b automatic brush

What's the best meal you've ever eaten? this is a hard one- I think it was A16 food and wine in San Francisco- we had squid ink pasta with garlic sauce, burrata and freshly grilled bread, then a grilled on the bone pork chop from a wood fired oven with fresh veggies and a rhubarb compote. It was heaven-

close second- Scribe vineyard in Sonoma- they werent doing open tastings yet but Mark found them online and contacted them. They gave us a private tour of their vineyard, made us a fresh meal out of their wood fired oven and we talked for 4 hours. It was AMAZING.

If you could have any meal right now, what would it be? I am craving pork chops now from the above statement... I am a simple girl, something either meat or fish and a nice salad is all I need.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? I actually love living in Cincinnati - however, after visiting the South of France, I would make that work.

What's on the radio/tv/ipod/whatever that's closest to you? Adele is playing on my ipod right now, followed by Dave Matthews.

Favorite guilty pleasure TV show? Either Dance Moms or Big Rich Texas- can you tell I was on maternity leave and had too much time on my hands. Both are terrible shows and I wouldnt recommend them, however, if you are a dancer or dance teacher- its worth a DVR of Dance Moms - these people are crazy.
