My weekend officially starts today! My brother & his family are staying at a resort in town (it has a waterpark for the kids) so I will be spending time with them. Then they will all stay here Saturday night. My eldest niece turns 10 on Sunday (I don't know who authorized letting her grow up!) so I will have cake and balloons for her.
What's going on in your world this weekend?
Re: Weekend plans?
DH is going out of town tomorrow night, so I'll probably be lame and work late so I can have the whole weekend free and not have to stress about my deadlines. Saturday, I'm getting together with local nesties for a book club day - we're discussing The Book Thief (July/August's book), and watching the movie The Help (June's book), and having lunch at the theater. I'm pretty excited about it!
Sunday is church, and then after church we're going to a class/program thing about becoming members. Kind of a "here's what this church is about" sort of deal, nothing cult-like haha.
FYI, today is the first day in ages that it has not gotten over 100 degrees here - we were 2 days short of an all-time record, but the streak was broken at 40 days.
My weekend started today as well! We're going on a canoe/camping trip and leave tomorrow bright and early. We're canoeing 14 miles tomorrow to set up camp, camping Friday and Saturday night and then canoeing another 14 miles down river to the pick-up point.
As much as I've been not wanting to go since getting the BFP, I'm kind of looking forward to it now. I really love rowing on the water, so it should be fun. I packed a bunch of healthy food for myself, so I should be all set on that front. I also got a super cute sun hat on clearance the other day to have some shade on the river.
You ladies have some fun weekend plans. Unfortunately I work tomorrow, but tomorrow night my moms coming down so I can show her the model of the house we're looking at buying next year - I'm excited about that.
Saturday night DH and I are going to dinner for "date night", and Sunday I'm going to lunch with my mom, and my MIL - which should be nice too. Thats about it.

I'm taking a break from work
Yup. That's right. At 12:10 PST. And I have hours to go. And I have to take my car in at 7:00 in the morning because a piece came detached on the highway this morning and nearly gave me a heart attack.
I am soooooooooooooooooooo looking forward to the weekend. DH and I are going to a member's night at one of our awesome local science museums on Saturday and we're meeting people for dinner on Sunday. But the main thing is that I won't be at work!
GAH! That is a late night. I was blue because I had a 13 hour day yesterday. Today won't be as bad I hope but I will work the rest of the weekend. Oh well - such is life. No plans really, just work. I leave for Rapid City for a big job on Monday night so it's kind off my hell week. Looking forward to that being done and onto the next one.
