What is on the agenda for today?
QOTD: People want Bert and Ernie to get married. What do you think? Do you they should get married or are they just BFF?

I am getting ready for a three day weekend. I want to do some baking today but it is actually quite hot here.
QOTD: I think they are just BFF. I wouldnt mind them introducing new characters into the mix to show different types of families. But I always thought Bert found Ernie to be really annoying.
Too hot for baking! Uff, I couldn't sleep last night due to the heat. I'm going to spend the morning getting ready for our vacation...DH ended up with a couple more days than he thought and Monday is a bank holiday here so we'll be leaving pretty soon.
QOTD: I agree...I am on the BFF side, but wouldn't mind if they introduce new characters for different kinds of families.
Friday was an easy day. I made chocolate chip cookies and pasties for dinner, though I think I am going to take some of the cookies over to my inlaws tomorrow. And I read Anne of the Island -- I was in a romantic mood and I love the end (won't say why, in case I'd spoil it for people who have not read it) -- I cried through it.
QOTD: I think the very recent practice of making everything either gay or straight is horrible. I once read a thesis paper where the author presented the argument that Anne & Diana (from the Anne of Green Gables series) had a lesbian relationship. Why must everything and everyone be either gay or straight? What difference does an individual's sexual orientation make? What if Bert & Ernie are? What if they aren't? Does it matter to the lessons their characters taught?
My plans for today got canceled twice
bummer! So today we're hanging out at home and probably going to the second hand store the afternoon and maybe baking...if E decides to let me 
Last night was great, after a fussy time going to sleep she made it until 3 before eating and then until 6! Yup I'm a happy and better rested camper.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow, my Dad gets back into town, we're surprising him with me and E at the airport
We also have a three day weekend, we're not sure of our plans though.

Today is pretty relaxed - I am at work, but not too much is going on. Everyone in the office is cutting out early for the three-day weekend. Going to the gym after work, then showering and off to the airport - DH and I fly to Vienna, Austria tonight! Then we will spend 2 days there and take a speed boat down the Danube river to Bratislava for another day. I am so excited! It's been a little while since I flew somewhere for a long travel weekend
QOTD: When I was a kid, I totally thought they were brothers. Now I would have to say I think they are gay, but it really doesn't matter to me. Rock on with your bad selves Burt & Ernie!

It's my last weekend on holidays! We are going up to our cottage. Today I'm going to do some more shopping.
Yesterday M pooped on the toilet! Thanks for the advice in my previous post!!!
QOTD: I've never thought about it. If they get married that would be fine with me and I would watch and show M. They sleep in separate beds though, so I actually think they are BFFs.
