booking a flight

So I'm heading to New Orleans for Labor Day weekend and I saw cheap flights on Wed and I should have booked it b/c today the price has gone up. So do I just book at the higher price or should I wait until Tues to see if they go back down???

Re: booking a flight

  • Expedia has a sale every Wednesday so you could wait and see what kind of deal you get then. Also check out TravelZoo and cheapflights.com. Good luck!

  • That sucks. Like pp, I would check Wednesday but if they don't go down I wouldn't wait any longer. I'm jealous you're going to NOLA. Wink

It's kinda a last minute thing. I was supposed to go to Jacksonville and move more of my stuff up here, but some friends from down there are doing a road trip there and you only live once so, I'm going!!

I'm gonna check those other sites and see if I can find a better deal. I don't really want to wait too much more.

  • Definitely wait until after the weekend to book.  Flights go up in price on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays online because airlines know that people have "free" time to dilly dally (as my mom would say) on the internet and book flights.  Traditionally, I think they say the best days to book are Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
