thoughts on Val Kilmer as Governor?

Sorry I've been away since the election - was traveling for work.

Anyway, I heard this on the radio this morning - does anyone care?

Re: thoughts on Val Kilmer as Governor?

  • Are you serious?  I guess if Ahnold did it, he can too.
  • He's much yummier looking than the govenator so in that regards I'm all for it.

  • Jim Morrison? What a mess. I wouldn't vote for him.

  • yeah, I guess since Richardson is being tossed around as going to D.C. now, Kilmer is looking at  Huh?

  • blech. I heard he couldn't get any acting gigs for years because he had a reputation of being a prima donna on so many sets. I can't imagine what an a$$ he'd be in public office.

  • Its so hard to focus on your posts when your itty bitty _ass has that enormous dog on your lap. I vaguely remember you saying you were on a diet, I really hope this isn't the case.

  • I honestly didn't even know he was interested in politics or politically inclined.

Must google and see what's up...

  • DH will hate this!  He has an unnatural hatred for Val Kilmer.

What are his politics?  Is he a Dem?  I don't know why I assume that, there aren't any famous Dems in office now (poor Al Franken).

  • I seem to recall that he once told an interviewer that while filming The Doors, he felt Jim Morrison's spirit inhabit his body and he became - really became - Jim Morrison.

We have enough batshit crazy politicos as it is, so I vote No.

  • imageis_it_over_yet?:

I'd buy that -  he was fuckingawesome as Jim Morrison!

  • Sorry, I must really be out of the loop. ?The Ice Man wants to be governor of what state?
  • Unfortunately he wants to be governor of my state - New Mexico.  And no, just NO!  I don't care what party he belongs to, I think it's ridiculous.

He's had bad press here also, for saying something along the lines of everyone in Northern New Mexico is drunk.  It's been a few years and I can't recall the specifics, but there was a bit of an uproar about it.

He's going to have a few years to think about it though, because even if Richardson leaves (fingers crossed), the lieutenant governor gets to finish his term.
