Restaurant recs for Waltham area?

DH will be on business and is looking for some great places to eat while there. he will be there with two other guys.  He will be about 20-30 minutes outside Boston in Waltham. (I think its 20-30 minutes outside of Boston!)

He loves Italian but is open to other places too.

Thanks!

Re: Restaurant recs for Waltham area?

  • There are several good Italian places in Waltham.  Il Capriccio and La Campagna are on the pricier end (I'd go for the latter over the former if you're deciding between the two).  Biagio is also great.  For something a little more casual and more comfort food-style, I love Fiorella (make a reservation, it's small), which technically is in Newton but it's right on the border of Waltham.

Other good places in the area are Little India and Ponzu (pan-Asian) on Moody Street and Tree Top Thai.  Carl's Steak Subs is popular if they want something really casual.  For lunch, if they're near that particular end of Waltham, Domenic's is an amazing sandwich place (Italian bakery and deli).

If he's staying in any of the hotels along I95, he could go to Sato on Winter Street for sushi.  It's not the best, but it's good.  There's also a Bertucci's in that same complex.

    Hope that helps!

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball
