I miss you all!
I have the day off for a job interview - so I finally have time to Nest!
School is going well, and I have no idea what I'm going to do when classes are over. I have two different offers from restaurants as well as a desk job offer that is VERY tempting. I am not sure what I'm going to do! I have to make some big decisions very soon.
How's everyone else?

We miss you!! What is tempting about the desk job? Just curious, I know you were hoping to get into the Culinary/Baking & Pastry field. That's great you have so many options though!

Well, I'm on the alumni council of my old high school, and their director of alumni relations just left. The President emailed me because he, and others, thought I would be good for the job. It is wicked close to my house and would pay a lot more than I'm making now (if we ever want to open our own restaurant, I'm going to have to start saving more money). I would have afternoons and summers off to bake. But...I'm not sure if I want to take it or not.

Oh, I can see why that'd be so tempting. Especially because if you wanted to do something PT in the evenings it'd be possible.

When are you done with school? Seems like yesterday you had just started.
Life is busy of course for us too. The summer was a good break but school starts back up after Labor Day and I'll be interning 20hrs/week, working 32hrs/week plus having two classes two nights a week. I get stressed just thinking about it.
Good luck with your decision making. I'm sure you'll make the best choice for you!

Life's good on this end. Nothing too exciting-- mostly work. Did get a nice break in July though, so that was cool. Know you're a huge foodie... so let me suggest Basque Country in Spain (or S. France). Oh my Lord! Awesome experiences!

http://www.akelarre.net/public_home/ctrl_home.php?lang=en -- Easier to get to it's in straight-up San Sebastian. Which is a fab town and it's hard to find a bad meal. This place is fancy. Like foodie, foodie (Michelin 3-star, I believe). We liked it (and the view is world class), but I'll be honest, I'm a simple girl and so just plain ol' tapas in town were pretty good (and budget friendly).
On this trip we also hit old favorites Madrid and Barcelona. Both are also great foodie towns. Based on previous trips, I would have said hands-down B is the better foodie town, but Madrid rocked this go-'round. Two experiences I enjoyed--one in each city:

Totally different-- one casual, walking tour, the other Michelin 1-star, but both were very enjoyable and good values for what you got.
We also visited Toledo and Valencia on this trip-- fine, but nothing stand out for food. I'd say the same for the Costa del Sol (didn't go this time, but have been before).

Same old here.... We tried to go to the beach a lot this summer. Now we are winding up for football season!!
