nope. even when i was unemployed, i wouldn't apply for anything less than 20.

i agree. question: how much is minimum wage?? isn't it like $10?

  • If I needed a job/paycheck, needed to get out of the house or thought this $10/hr job would lead somewhere better then yes.

Last year when I got laid off, after about 6 weeks I thought I was going insane just volunteering and hanging out at home. I took a temp job for barely more than my unemployment check just to get out of the house. I still don't regret doing that.

lol, hardly. In hindsight it was kind of fun, esp since you were unemployed too, but I got so bored. I could handle a month long, no working thing, but anything longer than that makes me a little crazy (er, crazier than I already am.)

  • It would depend on how fresh out of college I was and how many other jobs I had applied to and interviewed for.  If I graduated this year and wasn't even landing interviews, then yes.  But if I had some job experience (that paid more than $10/hr) and was at least landing some other interviews.... probably not.

    this.

  • Nope.

English lit and environmental ed, sure... but i'm a couple months from lowering my desired pay to $10...

ETA: Bio can be hard to find a job in, depending on technical and professional experience, but between bio and acct, there should be something.
English is fine, but not employable on its own.  EE doesn't pay well to begin with (often seasonal, often nonprofit), and jobs of the sort i am looking for are scarce.  As such, if i can't find something soon that suits me, i'll take something that would work if the pay was better and work up from there.

  • Like pp said, it depends on how much experience I had, how much I made previously, how long I'd been looking and how badly I needed a job/money.  If it was in my field and there was the possibility that it could lead to something more, I'd be more likely to consider it.
