Can I buy unwrapped Crayola crayons in bulk?

I'm making letter-shaped crayons to spell out each child's name for my daughter's party favors but when I did the first batch yesterday, unwrapping them was so annoying! Does anyone know where I can buy the crayons unwrapped?

Or if anyone has a bunch of broken crayon pieces, I'd be happy to take them off your hands!

Thanks!

Re: Can I buy unwrapped Crayola crayons in bulk?

  • I took a box cutter and slit the paper to remove it. Supposedly if you put them in ice water they will slide off but it only worked for 75% of them.

  • When I did this last summer, I sat a bowl of them in front of my husband once while I was making supper and he cut all the papers off. Tried and true recipe! :P

Sorry, no idea about the unwrapped crayons!

Works like a charm!  I do this at least once a year for my students and it is fast work.
