Friday Confessions/Vents/UO's/AW's/whatever else...

Confession: I teared up last night while watching Ice Loves Coco. Her sister had a baby and she helped deliver it and it was just so sweet.

Vent: I don't really have any other than I want our car back already because the rental car sucks.

UO: I think everyone who has ever answered my "live octopus" question with a NO needs to grow a pair! Stick out tongue

AW: I look supah cute today. black/grey sweater with a emerald green cami, black skinny jeans, black mary janes. I'm adorbs, y'all.

Re: Friday Confessions/Vents/UO's/AW's/whatever else...

  • Confession: I cried when Hanna & Caleb said "I love you" on Pretty Little Liars on Tuesday. It was SO sweet. We're talking full on ugly-cry here.

Vent: My boss just gave me a really nice bottle of wine as a "congrats" gift for finishing my class with a kick-ass grade. Nice gesture, except I CAN'T DRINK IT. Grrr.

UO: I hate that people on TB b!tch about their baby showers. They need to STFU and just be grateful that someone actually wants to throw their selfish a$ses a shower at all. Then posters AGREE with them about whatever it is they're b!tching about.

    AW: I got nothin'.

  • Vent: Jimi spent all day yesterday playing a new game he downloaded and watching ST:Voyager (ugh, of all shows), when he NEEDS to be looking for a new job. He hasn't looked in almost a month, and with everything at a stand still (budgeting, moving to a better neighborhood, actually having friends, etc) UNTIL he finds a new job, seeing him again do nothing with his day off really pisses me off.

UO: I still think most baby/toddler girl clothes are hideous.

    AW: Phoenix is walking, YAY!

    I couldn't think of a confession.

  • All I have is a confession, a little too deep for a Friday though lol.  I heard the song 'Hate Me' by Blue October and I cried, a lot.  The song describes my first 'real' relationship to a T. He was an alcoholic.  I wasn't crying because of him, because I have nothing in my heart for him(even if he was my 1st).  It was more thinking about how I let myself get put through that and wasted 2 years of my young life (a few months before I turned 18-20, he was 5 years older.)  The first time I tried to leave, he sliced himself up from wrist to elbow with a box cutter.  When I finally left for good, he sliced himself up to the point that his mom and brother had to clean his apartment since there was blood all over the walls.  That was the beginning of a trend of me being with people who I tried to 'fix'.  I finally broke the trend and luckily Floyd wasn't broken :) Told you it was deep, sorry!

  • Confession: I had a bagel for breakfast yesterday.  And BLTs for dinner last night.  And may or may not have had a couple glasses of wine.  Oops.  I guess yesterday was my "cheat" day.

Vent: My new supervisor started this week.  She's never worked with the criminal justice population.  I'm not excited.  Especially since this position was never posted internally.  I'm 99% sure I could do a better job than she will be.  Sure wish I would have had the opportunity to apply for it....

UO: I do agree with Ames about the octopus.  Come on people, where is your sense of adventure?!  An even more UO: I think picky people are ridiculous.  you don't "like" vegetables?  Please.  Grow up.  You're an adult, you are too old not not eat green things.  I think those people just enjoy being a pain in the arse.

AW: I lost 2 lbs this week!  Even with my BLT and vino last night, ha!  I have 2 months til B-pics and I'm hoping to be down at least 10 lbs by then.

  • Confession: My boss asked her boss in the UK if we can both work from home full time starting at the beginning of 2012 and I am psyched. Not because of all the gas money I'll be saving or because I'll have time to clean my house in between working but because I'll be able to go to the gym at non-break-of-dawn hours. Awesome.

Vent: Jon has to go into the doctors for a test before the end of this month and apparently he can't take five minutes out of his day to call and make an appointment and it's pissing me off.

UO - I have no idea what those letters stand for and I am too lazy to google. So there.

AW: I got nothing. Except working from home full time which will be f'ing awesome.

  • Confession: I have been encouraging BFF to break up with Best Man.  I know that she doesn't want to and am trying to be supportive, but really, it would be better for everyone if she just left him.

Vent: The new car loan people are bothering me already.  They omitted all of my information from the loan somehow, and I know this is going to turn into an issue because I pay the car/ insurance/ gas bills in our financial breakdown, so me not being able to talk to anyone is going to create a serious issue.

UO: I don't think people should be able to take kids under the 5 to the movies if it is after 8pm or anything rated over PG.  Your 2 year old isn't going to do well at a 9pm showing of a movie that is almost 3 hours long, just don't take them.  Also, don't come in while the movie is starting and shout the names of your friends who you're meeting.  Get there early enough to see them or sit by your d@mned self.

AW: I am almost finished with my friends' baby quilt, and it is freaking adorable.  I'll post when I'm done, hopefully this weekend.  I'm also optimistically hoping to add the 10" of extra fabric to the metro quilt top this weekend so we can get on with the anniversary-celebrationing.

Agreed.  And that shouldn't be an UO (Beth, that means "Unpopular Opinion.")  I absolutely hate when I meet grown-a$$ adults who refuse to eat vegetables.  It seems like it's usually men who are super picky, but I've met my share of women who won't touch them.  I'm also annoyed when adults are afraid to try something new because it looks a little weird or has an ingredient they've never heard of.  Actually I'm annoyed when little kids are like that but they get a free pass for a while until they can start refining their palates. (I don't think passing up live animals is being picky though, sorry Nooner. :) Though I did swallow a live goldfish in college...)

Oh. I'm also annoyed by people who think they're being healthy by making iceberg lettuce salads. Iceberg lettuce has no nutritional value. Eat some damn green leaves, people.  At least a little romaine even?

Wow, I'm in a bitchy mood today.

AW: Kyler slept 5.5 hours last night.  Although that probably seems pathetic compared to those of you who get 8 hours a night.  And I went to bed really late, so I didn't get 5.5 hours of uninterrupted sleep myself.  Sigh.

  • I have another confession:

I started an overly dramatic thread on my Month board about eating deli meat, just to get them all riled up and hopefully judge each other harshly for no other reason than my entertainment.

  • Confession: I am faking sick to get out of a bridal shower tomorrow. I really don't want to go but since Jon is in the wedding I am sending my gift with my MIL. Plus she didn't come to mine so I don't feel bad one bit.

Vent: Said bridal shower couple wants to use Jon's truck to move tables tomorrow. Jon texts asking if its ok to let them use it. Hell to the NO! Last time they borrowed the truck it got a huge dent in the back bumper. Sorry buddy, get your own damn truck to move things and then back into stuff with.

AW: Making Ice cream tomorrow!! :)

I just read these lyrics, and wow.  I can see how you could have such an emotional reaction to that.  I can relate to having an ex who I tried to fix.  Lately I've been feeling very retrospective and have been frustrated with myself for wasting so many years on him.  Love is blind, hindsight is 20/20.  Hugs to you!

  • Confession:  Although I need a job, I don't want one right now because I want to focus on school.  I've been slacking on sending out resumes and apps.

Vent:  Moving sucks.  We have so much sh!t, it's crazy.  We had an odyssey getting our new apartment, too.   Another story for another day.

    AW:  Got nothing.

  • Confession: I had cake & brownies for dinner last night. My coworkers threw me a shower at work and sent me home with the leftovers. I wasn't about to just let it sit there staring me in the face.

Vent: My company allows people to have a flexible working arraingment but it has to be ok'd by your manager and be ok for the business. I jokingly (well, at least he thought it was jokingly) told my boss yesterday that I should be able to work from home 1 day a week right now since it has gotten slower and he said "fat chance." So, even though I was planning on discussing such when I get back from maternity leave, I now know I can't Sad

UO: I hate it when people ask to touch my belly. I hate belly touchers and them asking puts me in an awkward position. Do I tell them the truth and tell them to keep their hands to themselves or do I be nice and allow them to??

AW: We have our growth scan tomorrow and I'm excited to see the baby again ! I'm also excited to confirm that she is still a she (I still have dreams that she ends up a boy)

  • Vent/Biitch: I work with a girl who is due about a week ahead of me.  She keeps bragging about how pregnant she looks and how I "Don't need to worry, I'll pop soon"... just like her.  I want to shake her... She eats like a freaking pig.  She ate ramen noodles for lunch today.  I want to shake her and say, "That's bloat!  That's fat because you eat terribly!  You don't look pregnant, you look rotund!!!".  The girl has made no changes in her cleaning products, drinks way too much caffeine, and didn't know what DHA was when i asked her if she was taking it.   GAH!

Amen, sister.  The 2/12 board is full of people who are swearing by the gender-guess at their 12 week ultrasound and saying things like, "I think I feel it move!" at 13 weeks.  Geez um.
