I've been working hard on nursery stuff since finding out LO is a boy.

The room colors are Sherwin Williams 'Online Gray' on the top with white chair rail and then Sherwin Williams 'Aquaduct' on the bottom. I'm pulling in yellow and tan accents because they are much easier to find in baby items than the teal and gray. I'll be sewing a crib skirt, valance, changing pad cover, boppy pillow cover, glider pillow, etc from the various Michael Miller fabrics from Hawthorne Threads.

I am torn between doing all black furniture (like the inspiration colors), all white (because of our bright white trim and chair rail) or doing a mix. Help!
And then I took a quote from a Tom Petty song and made these cool 8x10 prints to put on the walls. Just gotta get some frames.

Just wanted to show you ladies and get opinions!

Katiek!!! I love all for inspiration pics. His nursery is going to be amazing. I love love love the Tom Petty quote. I'm so excited to see how it all turns out for you.
My opinion on the furniture is all black.
ps - can you design my future child's nursery?? TIA.
I love it! I love your color choices! I am making curtains out of almost the same fabric as the valence in your inspiration picture. I prefer white furniture over black. I would be worried about black furniture always looking dusty. I also read recently on the Nurseries and Baby Gear board on the Bump that black furniture is hard to match because every manufacturer uses a different shade of black.
We have the Twilight Turtle for Kodi and he loves it. I may have to buy another one for this LO since Kodi probably won't give his up.
Isn't it fun planning/working on the nursery? I just sewed a crib skirt today and I'm trying to decide if I want to bake cookies tonight or start working on the crib sheet.

All of this! I love, love our dark furniture (all bedrooms have black furniture) but nicks do show up pretty easily. We also have white kitchen cabinets and I never want them again. With that said, I'd probably choose all black over mixing in white furniture.
I just started redoing our bedroom and we have grey walls, black furniture, white linens and I LOVE how it looks, so I think grey walls, black furniture and a white chair rail will look great.
