So, I heard back from one of the interviews I had on Tuesday and they want me to come in for a second interview on Monday! I'm so excited because this is the job I really wanted out of the two. I'm sure I've asked for my fair share already, but any more vibes you can spare on Monday would be great! The interview is with the superintendent and the director of teaching and learning in the district. I'm nervous I'll just come off as too young!
Re: Interview Update
Sending vibes your way! What great news! Which job is this for?
Don't be nervous about being young. They have your resume and know how much experience you have. If you are getting a 2nd interview, you impressed whoever you interviewed with first. Just go over answers to typical interview questions to practice and be confident with yourself as a teacher!
Good luck!
A second interview is awesome - GOOD LUCK!! Like stated above, just focus on the positives and your stengths! Don't think about things you think are working against you. Plus, many districts like hiring younger teachers, because newer teachers are more likely to stand behind changes. (My principal told me he wanted to hire a younger staff, because older teachers are more resistant.)
Good luck!!
