Seen any good movies recently?
So DH is heading out tonight with some friends. Since I'm not feeling great, I'm staying home and just want to curl up and watch a movie. I can't think of anything I'm dying to see right now, so let me know if you've seen anything good recently.
If nothing comes to mind, post your fav chick flick. I'm always a sucker for one of those and I need some inspiration.

Re: Seen any good movies recently?
Can't recommend anything new, but I love Dirty Dancing and would sit down to watch that any time.
(I heard they're remaking it. Blasphemy!)
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
Nooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!
(A bit dramatic? Perhaps, but I don't care. There are some movies you just don't touch and that would be one of them.)
This week I've watched "When In Rome" and "You Again" and I'd recommend both for a good laugh and good story.
I last watched Rio, and it was cute.
I'm pretty lame lately when I am home and have time I have been watching episodes of 30 Rock, or Top Gear (I'm a sucker for the 3 hosts I watch everything they are in.)
I hope you feel better.
I'm way behind here, but I saw Easy A and thought it was hilarious. It's more like a comedy than a chick flick but there is some romance. I also liked When In Rome but it was pretty predictable.
Don't get me started on the DD remake. I don't think anyone that loves the original is happy it's being remade.
I am so with you on that. I've also read Jennifer Grey thinks it's hunky-dory. Baby! Stop putting yourself in the goddamn corner!
I hope her endorsement isn't true, though
No, say it ain't so! I can't imagine any remake of DD living up to the original. Didn't they make something of a sequel to it (DD2 or Havana Nights or something), and it was a complete flop. Some producers just don't know when to leave a good thing be.
Thanks for the suggestions! I'll take a peek at what's available to download and go from there.

I heard this yesterday and I am not at all happy about it.

Yup, Havana Nights was terrible. We watched it in my Spanish class in HS and I remember thinking I'd rather be conjugating verbs than watching the movie. Patrick Swayze did a cameo as a dance teacher but it didn't really help because #2 takes place two years before #1, but he looked about 20 years older.
