I am a self proclaimed passenger seat driver when Lincoln drives. I just always feel like he doesn't pay enough attention to certain things and it drives me nuts (i.e. cruising in the far left lane while faster people are passing on the right, waiting to get right up on someone before passing them without slowing down any, etc.). He got onto me, so I shut up for a few minutes, but then noticed that he was speeding pretty excessively. I said 'Babe, I know I said I would back off, but I have to tell you you're going close to 15 miles over the speed limit and I'd really like to not get a ticket.' 'STFU LIZ I GOT THIS!' Ok, but when you get a ticket, don't blame me. And I was quiet.
We got through Louisville, headed up to Indy, and it's 55 mph through there for a little bit. I told him 'Hey, it stays 55 for a while, and then once it gets to 2 lanes, it goes up to 70. Be careful.' I just wanted him to be aware. No response. So I was quiet.
CUE THE BLUE AND RED POLICE LIGHTS!!
"Sir I pulled you over for speeding. It's a 55 mph zone and you passed me doing 75."
(I'm doing my best not to lean over and say 'Thank you officer. I told him, but he didn't believe me.')
Cop checks us out, comes back with a $150 ticket. And says 'Here you go, sir. Just watch your speed. About 3 miles up it goes to 70.'
LIKE I FRIGGIN' SAID 2 MINUTES AGO!!!!
In conclusion, I am always right, and now I have proof.

I'm amazed the ticket was only for $150. Here going 20 over on a two lane road is a "super speeder" violation with a ticket near $500 and you could potentially lose your license.
Maybe now he will listen to you... lol

Which was pretty much the first words out of his mouth after the officer left. He thought he was going to get arrested.
I told you so, babe.
Lol... did he say anything to you? He must've been pretty peeved, lol...
I would have soooo wanted to say I told you so but I admire your restraint, lol.
This reminds me of a few 4th of July's ago when my Hubby and I were headed to Myrtle Beach with a friend of ours.
We left around midnight of the beginning of the 4th, and I was driving. My hubby said right before he went to sleep in the passenger seat, "Be careful about the speed limits through here, there's going to be alot of cops out." I said ok and continued driving.
Next thing I know there's brights in my rearview and a car on my ass. I sped up to get them to go away, even went into the other lane, and next thing I know I'm getting pulled over! He pushed me, he did - but still, Mike insisted on saying "told you so."
LOL. I hate cops.

I sat quiet for a while, and he was finally like 'Ok, go ahead and let me have it." So I did.
