Tell me your opinions & stories of PenBay OBGYN and PenBay Hospital.
Explanation to follow.
Re: Midcoast ladies...
I have friends who have had good experiences giving birth there; my brother was born there. I don't think I've heard anything negative about maternity there.
PenBay as a whole, like for medical care, not so many good things. I had one really bad experience there with my father, but again that was not maternity.
I LOVE PenBay OBGYN - I would stay away from Dr. O'Connor (I have heard HORROR stories) but all the woman docs and midwives are GREAT!
As for the hospital, thier maternity ward was amazing! I never had 1 issue while in maternity and would have no issues delivering there again. The nurses were great and always willing to help. Like MACB said, there have been issues at the hospital but not in maternity.
I had a great experience. Had Clara my whole pregnancy and then she was on vacation. Had O'Connor long enough to induce me after water broke. Wish I hadn't done it and yeah... I'd prefer not to have him again. He is really good. I just needed more of a discussion.
Keane did my c section and was with me most of it. Loved her. Had amazing nurses except for one.
Never had a bad experience at PBH and we've seen a lot of dr.s.
