Valle Drive In
A few questions ...
Do they play the main feature first or the co-feature?
It says the gates open at 6:30 and movie at 8:30. What do people do for two hours - do you need to get there at 6:30 to get a spot?
We were thinking about going to see Smurfs with DS but don't want to sit around forever.

We go around 7:30 when the movie starts around 8:30ish. If it's a popular movie or the first week it's released it can be busy.
We bring toys and let the kids play in the back of the SUV. There's also grassy area to play ball etc in. We eat dinner/snacks and basically tailgate like we would at an Iowa game, except we can't bring a grill.
All of this. A lot of times a bunch of kids play together in the grassy area. I would definitely get there at 6:30 for this weekend. My DH took his niece on opening night of Cars 2 and he was waiting in line at 5:45 and there was already a line up waiting to get in.
