I just wanted to thank those that helped with my sewing questions. Especially the link the article on tensions on a machine. I figured it out after 4 hours. I finished the project. I even used the laminated fabric and a zipper. For my second sewing project, I am pleased.
Thank you ladies!

Re: Thank you! (added PIP)
glad to hear you got it figured out!
AW please!
You asked so here you go. Now this is my second sewing project. First time working with laminate fabric and first zipper ever (without a zipper foot or instructions..the tutorial does not have a closure on the bag). This is for my nieces lunch bag (15 years old, she saw my first one and wanted one).
I love the inside..
The zipper...
On a different note, after taking these photos, I immediately washed the door. I had no idea it was so grimey..now it is clean..old but clean...
Hope this works
Thanks! I am sure a real sew-er may find fault with my zipper but it is ok for a first attempt. It works and that is all that matters. On to the next project
