What would you bake for a bake sale? Or, what would you buy at a bake sale?
We are having one for volleyball on Monday during the Open House at the high school.
I have two mini-loaf pans-so I can do two small breads. What would sell the best? I have an awesome squash bread recipe but I feel like people won't buy that without tasting it (even though it tastes like heaven).
A fabulous cookie in ziploc baggies too? What would be an awesome cookie?

Monster cookies will cost more and take longer but they are so darn good that they're worth it:) You can freeze the rest of your dough and have it for when the cookie craving strikes at home! No bakes are always a hit too!
off topic, but have you seen this? You will probably enjoy it if you haven't already!

I've made red velvet brownies and black raspberry oatmeal bars for functions before, and they're usually one of the first things gone. I would imagine cutesy baked goods like the "hamburger" cupcakes that have been going around would also sell well too. They would take some time to decorate, though. The PB Oreo lattice pies are cutesy too.
As far as things that can be made in a loaf pan, I think you're right- squash bread might not be a big seller. People rave about Sing For Your Supper's cinnamon swirl bread. (I've tried to make it twice and had issues getting the center all the way done- I *just* noticed that I had been using a loaf pan that was too narrow/tall. Whoops.
Banana bread is always good. These banana crumb muffins are my favorite- I don't know how to convert the recipe for a loaf pan, but if you have a banana bread recipe you like, you could add the streusel topping.

not what you'd think of for a bake sale, but the loaf pan made me think of pizza bread. yummy!
