I read the similar post a few days ago, but I'm not sure it was that helpful for our scenario.
Dh and I will be arriving in Tampa (TPA) on Sunday about 3pm. We have work plans Monday-Thursday and are staying in Clearwater Beach. The only time we have free is Sunday late afternoon/evening. We are trying to decide what to do. What do you suggest for Sunday?
After reading good reviews on the Big Cat Rescue, I looked that up, but the last walking tour on Sunday is 1pm, which doesn't work.
I also thought about the Lowry Park Zoo, but it closes at 5pm, so I don't think the cost is worth it.
In the past, we've been to Busch Gardens, which we love, but since I'm pregnant, roller coasters are out.
Any thoughts?

Re: Tampa/Clearwater/St. Pete to do?
After some searching, it looks like most museums and other activities mentioned on Tripadvisor close at 5pm, so by the time we could get anywhere, that wouldn't give enough time. I'm thinking we'll just go to dinner and maybe mini-golf.

Are you going to be close to the beach? Pier 60 at clearwater beach is nice to walk around and there are vendors lined up on the pier.
Sorry its the only thing I can think of since it will be a Sunday you are going to find all the attractions close early.
It is pretty slow here on the weekends so there my not be a lot (if any) responses

When you check the sunset time, also check the temperature. It's so very hot here in August that it's hard to breathe sometimes. You open the door to go somewhere and the hot air blasts in your face like opening your oven to take out cookies. The LOW temperature is 80. That means that it never really cools off in August, so even the late night and early morning times are still hot and humid.
So since you are PG, I would suggest that you get some kind of transportation (do you have a rental car) up to Clearwater Beach restaurant Palm Pavilion for dinner. Local and right on the beach itself. Then maybe plan to visit Pier 60 nearby for a little while, but honestly you will be soaked through with sweat in about a half hour. It's just too hot to do anything in August... I took my mom mini-golfing last August, and we LEFT to go there at 10:00 p.m. because we hoped it would be cool. It wasn't. We were soaked before we were half-way through. So I wouldn't suggest anything outside too long. Even at night.
