    Meeee!  I popped open a bottle of wine a bit ago.  I'm staying out at my mom's tonight house sitting.  I've been sitting on the porch listening to the band playing down the street and watching the light show over the ocean.  This band is amazing.  Makes me wish my guy was here.

    Could someone please explain to me why people have to have all the fancy contraptions for opening wine bottles.  I think my mom and step dad buy them just to try to out smart my step brother and I, the bartenders in the family.  Seriously, it took me 10 minutes to open the dang thing.  I could have done it in 15 seconds with a wine key. Oh, the frustration.

    We have one because I am the biggest whimp that walked the planet and cant get a cork out with your standard "swiss army knife" style bottle opener. I cant be trusted to open the bottle gracefully with those. Lol

    Ninth Anniversary
    I had some delicious German Oktoberfest beers downstairs and am now buzzed and lounging in bed. Since I'm a bit tipsy I don't mind sharing that the running joke in our house today is that my husband is an old man. We had...extended relations last night, and he's been limping around and complaining about sore muscles since he woke up. I keep telling him that this is a sign that we need to spice up our sex life on a more regular basis.

    I think that I shall. I'm bemusing the fact that tomorrow I get to go watch two 19 year-olds get married. I don't actually know them, it's just one of the immature young sailors that works for DH.

    I'm going out tonight with two of my coworkers. There will definitely be drinking. 
    I've seen a lot of military surprise homecomings. It wouldn't work on me. I always have my back to the corner and my face to the door. Looking for terrorists, criminals, various other threats, and husbands.
