Glad you got some laughs! It was pretty funny after the fact, though I did have to throw out my mixer.
I used this recipe:

I used two bars of lindt white chocolate and could barely taste it. I thought it was just okay, but got rave reviews from everyone else.
If you have a fan assisted oven, I suggest opening the oven door while it cools. Our oven is crazy and keeps the heat in for a very long time, so the top of the cake ended up browning a lot more than I would have liked. I added 1 T cream of tartar to prevent cracking.

Oh poor mixer! lol Well, I'm glad it tasted okay. I'm going to give it a shot, I'm looking for a birthday cake for myself. I get sick of the chocolate, yellow, buttercream frosting you get over here. Anyway, thanks, I'll post a pic when I make it
