Want to hear a funny (pr) story?

My SIL, who is about 8 weeks pregnant, sent me this email today

"I think I am finally discovering what "prego-brain" is... nothing like mixing up "strongly agree" & "strongly disagree" on a medical form. "Do you have regular thoughts of suicide or self loathing?" - me "strongly agree" "Have you ever considered ending your relationship with the baby's father?" - me "strongly agree". "Are you considering terminating this pregnancy?" - me "Strongly agree". "Is the baby's father supportive of this pregnancy?" - me "strongly disagree". The naval support team member that met with me today couldn't understand why I was smiling when my life sucked so much. Well at least it was a good laugh for the day, when she figured out I switched the columns."

  • I'm not sure I could ever get over the embarrassment. In a way, I almost kinda feel bad for the person who received the the medical form.

  • LOL. I'm a believer in pregnancy brain! "Underlying such change is a manifest shift in neuronal size, activity and capacity.? Neurons in the part of the brain that largely regulate maternal behavior, called the medial preoptic area (mPOA), grow impressively during late pregnancy, increasing the protein-synthesizing capabilities of the cell." http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=pregnant-brain-as-racecar

  • I fully believe that each kid you bear sucks brain cells right out of you.  I used to be a friggin genius.  Now, I can hardly remember where I put my bra when I took it off or what we had for dinner last night.

  • I'll admit I was tipsy enough when I opened this that I thought PR was pet related.

    Whoops! Sorry.

To make this pet related, here is a cute picture of Mimi with a catnip banana.

  • Mary, that's full of win.  I feel so bad for the person who had to respond to her survey.

TX, you're not giving me much hope.  I couldn't remember why I was going to Walgreen's even though I was told 3 times on the way to Walgreen's.
