My older daughter's birthday is on Monday 8/29. I will still be on maternity leave and my husband has decided to take the day off to surprise Emma with a fun outing. Does anyone have any ideas for something that would be really fun for a 3 year old? We were planning to take her to a movie and lunch (she's never been to a movie theater before) but there are not any movies we want to take her to. We were also thinking maybe Space Farms but we go there a lot, so it's not really that big of a deal. Any ideas???
Re: birthday ideas
A Children's Museum?
I am heading to the one in Manhattan today on 82nd and can let you know how it is. I have been to Stepping Stones in Norwalk, HV in Poughkeepsie, Boston's, which are all great.
The Castle in Chester
Pony rides (DH gets them for our neices- somewhere in Orange. I can find out exactly and let you know if you're interested)
Thanks, these are all great ideas! Norwalk aquarium looks pretty good from their website. We're trying to keep travel time down to 1-1.5 hours, so I think that would work.
MargieMags- I'm glad you liked sesame place. I wanted to take Emma there over the summer but someone said she may be too young for a lot of the rides. Maybe we will try it out in the spring. Having an infant in tow is no problem, I'll just pop her in the baby bjorn and go.
