DH and I are trying to finish up the nursery (9 weeks until LO is due -- OMG) and still need curtains. I'm seriously considering making them, but I'm not sure what fabric to use.
Here are the colors from our bedding (photo of the sheet):
Here's a shot of the wall color (I
aqua!):
I'm totally lost on the curtain thing. I'm not sure what color to use or if I should use solid or something with a pattern.
Any ideas?
Re: Help w/ curtains!
Is there much more to the room? It looks absolutely tiny, so I think a pattern would probably be a little overwhelming and I think the window positions would amplify that. I'd just stick with white- blackout shades would be great for the toddler years, in particular.
It's a really nice color- very soothing.
It is a small room, but not super tiny. It's just shaped funny. Here's the other side of the room (much larger space than the chunk w/ the crib):
Ignore the junk and the dog
We don't have central air in our house, so any curtains I make will definitely be lined. There are four windows -- two regular sized and two of the smaller ones.
OMG, only 9 weeks left!?
I

aqua too, especially w/ black (or is that brown? either way= fav!)! but I agree that a pattern might be a bit overwhelming for that space. I think a sea glass green would compliment the room nicely. I agree w/pp... blackout curtains are the best. I remember my nanny-ing days, babies + sunny day= nobody gets rest!
Good Luck!
