Did you guys have any trouble getting home last night with the weather as bad as it was? They announced the severe thunderstorm warning stuff at LO and told everyone to stay away from windows and doors, but I didn't know how bad it was until we saw the state fair thing on the news. (Is that in Indy or somewhere else?) And apparently Louisville got screwed pretty hard, too, because Dad told me U of L had cancelled classes tomorrow.

Re: Kari
We had no trouble at all. The storm literally stepped OVER our town (We've had enough storm damage!). The state fair got it so bad. It's actually about 4 miles from LO. It's off of 38th street and Fall Creek/Binford. Not sure if you heard or not but the stage collapsed just before Sugarland went on stage. 5 people were killed and 45 injured.

Not sure how to make it clicky.
We went to Louisville today for a Bats game and to go to the bat museum. There was a bulletin on the scoreboard that some schools were closed tomorrow due to power outages.
Yeah, we heard about the stage. That's so terrible.
I saw where you got to go to the Bats game! We did that last summer, and it was a blast, even though it was 100 degrees outside. They were so nice and let everyone that had tickets for the upper deck (us) sit anywhere in the shade they could find. Next time you all plan a trip to L'ville, let me know and I'll run up there!
Yep. The nice downtown area is significantly smaller than Indy, but that's not a bad thing.
Every single one of my friends (and me and H included) kept saying over and over how wonderful of a city Indy is. We got to see a DCI parade Saturday morning with the groups that didn't make finals, and it was so great to sit out in the War Memorial park on a sunny day and watch all the groups go by. I hope DCI Finals stays there for a long time.
If you guys ever need something else to do for a quick weekend, we should do some of the Bourbon Trail! Makers Mark, Heaven Hill, Woodford Reserve, etc. It'd be fun!
Ohhhh Myyyyy...we need to do this. Like NEED to. Necessity.
