Anyone have experience with psychic readings?
My mom went to a girls' night in thing and the hostess arranged to have a psychic do readings for the guests. She told my mom a lot of specific, accurate things. Others were slightly off the mark. Then there were some that my mom is in straight-up denial about. Have y'all ever been? Tell me stories.

I went years back with friends. One friend has been going to same lady yearly for 5+ years. She didn't hit anything for me then. I forget what she said now (should have written it down).
DH's family goes every winter upstate for a retreat in the Catskills and swear by it. Then again his Nanny was told we would have a girl- had a boy, and she specially said you will be a great grandma of a girl this year.
Strangely enough a cousin who was up there was told that she hates to have things on her neck (necklaces, high neck shirts, turtlenecks, etc) because she was strangled in her past life. She HATES things on her neck and now she "knows" why. Insanely creepy.
I used to go to a *I swear* legit psychic. Raylene...she was known around New City and impossible to get an appt with. I did the party t hing once and thought it was bull.
I would love to go to Raylene again.

I've been to a couple of psychics and they are hit or miss. The best one I ever went to was down at the Jersey Shore in 1998. The psychic specifically asked me about a conversation I had had with a friend the night before...like specifically said his name and told me not to trust him (he wanted us to date but I was getting ready to go away to college). She told me that I would marry a man with the initial J in his name, he would have green eyes and brown hair (all of which my husband has), I would have 3 kids, and that I would be on the right path with my career no matter if I chose education or psychology. Seriously, this chick freaked me out. She told my friends about a mutual friend of ours that was sick at the time and she had no way of knowing about that either.
Since then I have gone for other readings and sometimes they are good. I would love to go to another one, I haven't been in almost 2 years. The last one I was at hit some things but not others.
I've heard that there is a phenomenal psychic in the Monroe area that is dead on, but I don't know much more than that.
