Roll Call!!!

Who's here? What are you up to this evening? What did you or will you have for dinner? And what did you do this weekend?

I'm on for a bit. Nursing the baby to sleep right now, then going to play games with the big kid before his bedtime. We had lamb kebabs, corn on the cob, and salad tonight--delicious! This weekend revolved around hosting LittleL's birthday party and getting ready for my first day back to work tomorrow. I can't wait for next Monday when the students arrive!

  • Right now I'm laying on the couch, I need to go finish making dinner which is Cranberry Chicken, rice and broccoli. Just need to cook the rice and steam the broccoli.

Thursday night we decided that we wanted to go camping Friday. E picked the spot and had us packed up when I got home. We drove up to the Eldorado National Forest and found a camp spot. It was so nice. We went hiking to Bassie falls and saw some little baby trout there and the water created some really neat groves in the granite there. So neat.

And now we are home and Simon and I have been napping off and on all afternoon. Its been a lovely weekend.

  • I'm here.

I went to my parents for dinner, like I typically do on Sundays. We had steaks, fresh green beans and baked mac & cheese. Yummmy.

Afterwards I worked on a huge. tedious project that's due this week. 500 invitations for a local charity gala! I got about half of them put together. I have to print the envelopes and finish the rest of the invites tomorrow, then start working on my next big project: wedding announcement puzzles!

My weekend was pretty tame. I went out to dinner and saw The Help with some ladies I'm in a book club with on Friday night. Saturday I went shopping with my sister and went to the birthday party of a little girl I babysit. I got a call from H that night, which was brief but great still.

  • I'm here.  I'm not doing crap tonight.  We had baked chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans and corn for dinner.  This weekend I flew to Ohio with DD and am staying with the IL's.  I'm really boring right now.
    Shot first, questions later.
  • I'm around for a bit. Today my mama and I went shopping for a dress for Stan's wedding. Central MO doesn't have as many choices as SoCal so I settled just to have a dress.

I'm putting together a package for J then heading to bed.

  • I'm here. We are at my IL's, I'm hangin' out in the family room with my FIL. LO, DH & MIL are already sleeping.

We had BBQ beef, taco salad, mac 'n cheese and birthday cake for dinner.

As I mentioned, we are at my IL's (in NY). Last night was DH's 20 year high school reunion. Today, DH's extended family came over. This is the first time he's been home in over three years. This is the second time LO has been up to visit DH's aunts, uncles & cousins.

Did I mention that it is my (40th) birthday? Happy birthday to me.

  • Thank you, ladies! I'm a little bitter about how I had no say in the way I spent my birthday. But, then I remind myself that I have so much to be thankful for--DH and I are together, we are healthy, we have families who love us and want to spend time with us, and LO is having an AMAZING time. Typically, birthdays aren't a huge deal for me. . . But 40 is kind of a big one. Oh well.

I have more than I dared hope for, even just six years ago (when I was single, 34 and DH was just some random dude from the internet I was emailing). I need to get over myself. :o)

  • I'm relaxing and enjoying my last 2 days before starting my new job. I took a nap and made cinnamon bread this afternoon. Oh and watched trashy TV. For dinner it was leftover broccoli/cheese rice since H is out fishing with friends for the day. Nothing too exciting at all here.

    ETA: Happy birthday Smudges Mom!

  • Happy Birthday Smudges Mom!!

I'm cleaning the house and putting away the laundry. Nothing too exciting for today. I had Panera for dinner and it totally hit the spot, but now I'm extremely thirsty. Later I will be watching RHONJ. Can't get enough trashy TV!

    P.S. Why can't I send a PM?? It's really annoying me!

  • I'm here for a little longer.  We're just winding down for the night.  We had a Velveeta Skillet meal for dinner...it was a super lazy day.  T had off since Thursday so we went to the pool on Friday and put Sophia in the pool for the first time.  Saturday we went to my MIL's for my BIL's birthday and then we stopped at my aunt's on the way home since my family was over there having a seafood night.  We were supposed to have pictures taken today but the weather did not cooperate at all so we'll have to reschedule.

H totally got me into that show. We watch the UK version though. I didn't even know there was an American version until recently. My favorite part is the races/challenges they have to do.

  • I'm here. I was watching True Blood and watching the finale of Next Food Network Star. We had frozen dinners for dinner tonight, I'm pretty pooped from moving a whole bunch of stuff this weekend. I spent today making homemade granola and catching up on my blog.

  • i'm here.  just watched RHONJ.  had a cheeseburger and curly fries from the mall for dinner.  spent time with friends this weekend, and skyped with my sister and niece tonight. :)
  • Happy Birthday, M!!

I just got LO down for the night, am now going to crawl into my own bed with a book, if my head will stop hurting enough for me to read. Dinner tonight was cereal for me, I didn't have the energy to cook after going grocery shopping.

This weekend was pretty laid back. We went with a friend into the "city" to do some shopping; I enjoyed spending money on myself instead of DH or LO for once. I also enjoyed being in a part of CA that actually has sunshine and warm weather for the afternoon!! Other than that we chilled at home with the wee man and our new kitty, being bums.
