Back from Disney!

Hey, girls~!  I'm back!

I had a fabulous week off from work, and hanging in Disneyworld spending lots of QT with the hubby.  I have working like crazy lately (which is also why I haven't been around here as much), and really enjoyed getting to spend lots of time with hubby.  Unlike usual, I completely disconnected myself from email and didn't think about work (well, not much anyway).

Also, his sister got married!  They got married in the wedding pavillion, and it was lovely.  They also had Mickey and Minnie at the reception - which was too too cute.

Star - I know you said that you are headed there in a week or two.  I know you are a Disney veteran, but wanted to let you in on a tip.  We took advantage of the morning magic hours, which had not done before - and we got sooo much done during that time.  We were able to finish Animal Kingdom in like 2 1/2 hours, and busted through all of fantasyland in like 1 hour.  It was amazing. :)

Trickey - sorry I missed your invite to Keith Urban :(   I'm not very into country music either, but I would have gone with you.

Re: Back from Disney!

  • Welcome back, I'm so glad to hear you had an awesome and relaxing trip!  There's a lot to be said for "unplugging" from everyday life.  I feel like too many people miss out on real relaxation due to iPads/ smart phones and the like.

Isn't the pavilion phenomenal?  It's so gorgeous.  One of my friends is having her wedding there and then the reception at the Biergarten in Epcot-- how fun is that?  Glad to hear the wedding went well.

Morning Extra Magic Hours are the BEST!  Since we have to go in the summer due to DH's schedule, we try to get to the parks at rope drop on EMH mornings because it's so much cooler weather-wise and the parks are dead.  That way we can nap during the highest temps of the day and we usually get almost everything done right off the bat!  So glad you guys discovered that perk-- it's the best time to be in the park.  We leave Friday and I can't wait!

I hope you can get back on the boards a bit more now if your work craziness slows down.

    Married in 2008 - DD born in 2010 - EDD 6.15.2012!
