How to celebrate a birthday while camping?
We're going camping next weekend and a friend coming with us will have her birthday while we're up there. What's the best way to celebrate for her while we're up there? I suppose I could bring a cake of some sort, but packing it in the cooler might get tricky. Cupcakes in Tupperware, maybe? Any ideas?

We go every year for my best friend's birthday. I always make cupcakes and brownies. I bring the cupcakes in a cupcake caddy. I'll admit, in the Summer heat, they sometimes melt. But, eh. It's camping. We also have one of these ice cream makers: http://www.icecreamrevolution.com/
that we bring every year, and it's tradition that we make ice cream and eat cupcakes, sing, etc the first night of camping. It's awesome. And with an ice chest, all the stuff to make the ice cream holds up just fine, with the exception of having fresh, unmelted ice...which is why we always make it the first night.

ETA: (b/c I didn't read the responses before writing mine)....I make cupcakes every year, and frost them at home. I keep them refrigerated until we're ready to go. I often put an ice pack in the caddy to keep it cool inside to keep the frosting from melting too much, and pack them on the floor of the car, in the shade. We always bring candles. We don't worry about refrigerating them and eat them throughout the weekend. I always try to come up with a creative twist on the cakes (one year, I filled half with blue, half with pink b/c she was pregnant and didn't yet know the sex, etc). I don't know...really not *that* hard to bring cupcakes camping, IMHO. However, brownies = still much easier
