Monday again....what's everyone up to?
Re: Monday - What's Up?
I am alone at work - hope the board is active today
I will be busy this afternoon getting our weekly publication out (usually takes 4 of us, and I'm doing it alone). Kind of can't believe my boss let everyone take off this week but the last girl to ask he freaking loves and never says "no" to, blah!
Oh well, it'll be a nice slow week with most people gone. I shall exploit it and get a pedicure one day.
This is a slow week at work, and my boss is out today. So....I will be doing a whole lot of NOTHING today. Which sucks. I hate being bored at work, I would much rather be busy, busy, busy.
Naylon, how is everyone feeling??
My boss is taking an unexpected vacation this week, so that was a pretty nice email to come in to this morning! So I probably won't get much done today
It is nasty and cold and rainy out. I just want to go back home and get in bed.

Jane and I are on the mend, mostly better, and DH is in the thick of it. Blah. Thanks for asking. Sorry we missed the chance to GTG this weekend

16 read! my read shelf:
I'm sitting at work with a massive headache. I can't tell you how nice it was not to see a computer or phone screen for a week but I'm paying for it this morning.
Today will be busy busy busy as I play catch up during our sucky sucky sucky time of the year. We also have to start tearing up our house this week for renovations beginning soon. I'm being welcomed back with a bang.
Ain't no rest for the wicked.
I know how this goes!! Bosses should realize that it's not the best idea to let everyone take vacation at once and only leave one person in the office. Hope your week goes ok and you can relax a little
.
At work this morning. It's pretty slow - we have quite a few techs on vacation this week, so not many drop-offs this morning.
I'm working out with my trainer at 1. My hamstrings are still really sore and tight from my workout on Friday, so we'll see how this goes. I hope I have enough time between work and the gym that I can eat and spend some serious time stretching.

We (DH) painted the nursery over the weekend and we both absolutely love it.
DH is at the start of a MUCH NEEDED one-week vacation.
We leave tomorrow afternoon for Cheeseburger in Caseville. We go every year with my mom's side of the family. It's a big Jimmy Buffett fest.
This year, my dad is participating in the parade which is one of the top five parades in Michigan in terms of size. He'll be out there with his reptile hearse (yes, I said reptile hearse). I can't remember if I've shown you guys pictures of it.
This will be an interesting year because I'm not drinking (obvs) and neither is DH (he made the commitment about a month or so ago to quit drinking during my pregnancy). Here's to sober fun!!
No worries, I am just glad most of your household is feeling better!
Spent the weekend in New Jersey visiting friends so it was hard to get up this morning. Thankkfully it's a pretty easy day at work. The rest of the week however is going to busy busy busy. I am hoping to be able to check in with you ladies more often but the lab has been so crazy I don't get much computer time.
I'm guessing Marshall and I will have a quiet day. I am planning on spending most of my day doing laundry. We went camping this weekend and that creates SO much laundry.
Today Sam started a new round of classes. So he has night class again 2 nights a week where he won't be home until after Marshall is in bed. :-(
I'm at work. I had a telephonic hearing this morning scheduled for 8:30 a.m., so I made sure to get into work in plenty of time. Forgot that it was 8:30 CENTRAL time and I'm Eastern. At least it means I get to go home a little early.
At this point, I'm just trying to wind everything up at work before I go on leave. Unfortunately, some people are no cooperating.
DH's softball tournament this weekend got cancelled due to rain, so we actually got several small projects done around the house.

Work is wide open this morning. I can't believe I am taking the time to type this out... Our last large piece of equipment was delivered on Thursday/Friday and this equipment has been my responsibility for over a year.
Besides a laundry list of things that we ran into that have been "wrong", things are going well. Everything that was "wrong" hasn't been a big deal. These men just need to put their big girl panties on and stop whining about it. It's here, has to be installed, so get to friggin' work.
A whirlwind of coordination on multiple levels for multiple things... quite interesting.
I'm eating breakfast (dry cereal and orange juice) and then I'll head out to the grocery store.
I have lots of cooking and cleaning to do today before our small group meeting/dinner party at 7pm.
I'm hoping to do some baby clothes laundry. I got some things at a church and street sale, that look barely used. However, I'm keeping them tied up in a plastic bag until I wash them.
I still need to unpack from the weekend, we were at a lake with some family. JUST to repack and head out of town again on Friday.
I actually had a really nice, relaxing weekend. Paul passed his comprehensive exams, which he has been studying for for months (YAY!) so we celebrated that by going out to dinner on Friday and then grabbing a bottle of champagne and meeting up with his cohort (who also passed!).
Sunday was the best - I ran 7.5 miles in the morning, ran a couple errands with Paul, took Obie to the dog park, and then all 3 of us enjoyed an afternoon nap together on the couch. We followed that up with a movie. It was wonderful.
Of course, we're right back at it full force this morning. We have 2 commercials that are both shooting tomorrow, so the pre-production meetings and wardrobe fittings are all happening here right now. Usually a pre-production meeting means a lot of extra people in the office, which makes things a little chaotic. 2 pre-pros means double the crazyness, and it's a bit stressful. At least my boss is out this week, so after today things should calm down significantly!
